Arimasp
Arimasp (n.) L. Arimaspi (pl.), from Gk. Arimaspoi, mythical race of one-eyed people in Northern Europe who battled griffins over gold the griffins guarded. The name is said to be Scythian for "one-eyed." Related: Arimaspian.
